1. Supplementary nature of the system
The Customer and its users acknowledge that the MedFix platform is a software system intended solely for managing, scheduling and organizing the maintenance of medical equipment, spare parts and engineers. The platform is not a medical device or a diagnostic, therapeutic or clinical system; it does not perform technical inspection of devices by itself, and it is not a substitute for professional human calibration, inspection and verification.
2. No exclusive reliance on the system
Reports, alerts, indicators or recommendations produced by the system are not a substitute for professional engineering assessment, regulatory requirements, or the safety procedures adopted by the healthcare facility. The final decision remains the responsibility of the Customer and its qualified users.
3. Disclaimer for medical equipment failures and patient safety
To the extent permitted by applicable laws, the MedFix platform bears no civil or financial liability for:
- Any technical, mechanical or software failure of any medical device managed through the system.
- Any delay or error in carrying out preventive or corrective maintenance by the Customer's engineers.
- Any direct or indirect harm to the safety and lives of patients resulting from maintenance decisions or incorrect data.
4. Professional technical responsibility
Full responsibility for verifying the safety, operational performance and compliance of medical devices with approved standards rests with the "inspecting biomedical engineer" and the healthcare organization that employs them.
5. Accuracy of entered data
The platform is not responsible for errors in user input, such as contract expiry dates, spare part quantities or model numbers; reviewing and verifying the data remains the Customer's sole responsibility.
6. Artificial intelligence add-on (future)
Any smart diagnostics feature released in the future is a decision-support tool for guidance only; it does not replace specialized technical assessment and is not an approved diagnosis.
